Perpetuating my obsession with red (see here, here and here), I've decided to start pairing red plaids. I never seem to tire of red experimentation. Because I live in the Pacific Northwest (home of Pendleton), I find myself attracted to a somewhat more chic version of the lumberjack look (note rhinestones and excessive eyeliner). Here's what I wore today (red flats on my feet not pictured):

Houndstooth, Tweeds, & Plaids from www.artfulwears.com!!
Houndstooth, Tweeds, & Plaids are not what they used to be. They aren’t reserved for the preppy folk in the North East or those in the Ivy League. They are modern and funky and essential this season for ALL fashionistas.
Central Park West brought us two great plaid pieces this Fall. LOVE the Plaid Cropped Jacket. Again, modern shape with a classic plaid fabric. The slimming pleats in front are perfect for most body shapes. You can take this out on the town or the office.
Perhaps Tartan is more your style. Well the Tartan Plaid Dress is Tartan with a twist. The Ivory & Black is accented with a touch of Golden Yellow. This dress is trimmed in a delicate floral print to add interest and flair. We LOVE this with black boots!
The always edgy Surrealist brings us another great skirt in, of course, PLAID. The Patchwork Plaid Skirt uses a unique modern hem line with patchwork plaid fabric to create a unique and up-to-date look. Looks great with black or grey.
