I've decided to start posting pictures of women that have inspired me in fashion and beauty.
Icon numero uno is Gene Tierney. When I was seven I bought a Gene Tierney paperdoll. She came with amazing little 1940s paper outfits including little sailor hotshorts. I used to painstakingly draw and cut out more clothes for her.
It was because of my paperdoll that I went to the library and checked out books on fashion, and even an old department store catalogue from the 1940s to make sure her clothing was accurate.
