Avoid The Obvious

So often the Fall lines look bleak and dowdy. I'm all for the subdued look at times, but I really love the concept of layering and pairing obscure textures and patterns. Recently I wore a nautically-striped sweater over a polka-dotted tank. Both are in muted blue tints, but the contrast of patterns created a more interesting ensemble.

I'm inspired to experiment with bolder patterns and textures.
